Now a bit of a personal rant against the petty US politics applied towards Canada in order to get us to buckle and come into that missile shield of theirs.

They should understand that we have no reason of being paranoid because we'd dont think that the overall world is out to get us. So take a chill pill and stop trying to bully us into this. In the end you just look like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.

Universal Healthcare in New Brunswick.. whats that?

If you live in New Brunswick, Canada, this concerns you.

All over the media, the health care reform which goes into effect April 1rst, is the hot topic and rightfully so...

From my memory the only issue that raised public dissent on a scale comparable to this, and even then thats pushing it, is the auto insurance fiasco..debacle.. whatever, but this is another rant about the current government in this province...

so I will ask, Mr Elvy Robichaud, minister of health for NB, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING ....

1. Public opinion is currently heavily AGAINST your reform
2. All professionals involved in the system says it's mere folly to try to do what you are doing...
3. You're losing doctors and prospective doctors over it.
and 4. You are going against Louis J Robichaud's vision for this province, you are taking NB back into the 1960's where the big cities had everything and the rural areas squat.

Prime example, the Acadian Peninsula... You are closing down the hospital in Caraquet to expand the Tracadie hospital. Now Tracadie right now CANNOT handle the entire populace for the region. More so now with its Emergency staff quiting one after the other. Face it, this is merely a political move favorising your riding at the expense of the others. But unfortunately the fallout for this one will not be counted in votes at the next election but in lives as people in the remote areas die while in transit. Have you thought about the people of Miscou Island or the Maisonette area, which are at least 45 to 50 mins away from Tracadie, and that with speeds in excess of the actual limits on Highway 11? Especially with the populace growing older and more prone to medical emergencies...

This is again one more black mark in the progressive conservatives record in NB. I used to be a card carrying member of the PC in the Acadian Peninsula. That is now a thing of the past, for i will never vote PC again nor will i go back in the region.. not with the state of the healthcare.

You Mr Elvy Robichaud, should be fired over this.. as our healthcare system is not like the school system where everything can be compressed.

Another Trek comes to an end

Well apparently, Paramount cancelled the fifth trek series, called Enterprise. Tis a sad thing but... this one never got me mojo going, even with the vulcan in tight clothes, ( Can't be councilor Troi ).

In my opinion, TNG was the best of the series, followed closely by Voyager. DS9 was too static for my taste, Entreprise too ahem..'aseptised'. TOS, wellllll i wasnt even born and it didnt compare to TNG when i started watching

Still i'm saddened to see trek off the air but a rest might do the franchise some good

More info at http://www.startrek.com

PS Maybe they'll renew if people do the same thing they did when NBC cancelled TOS after season 2. LETS GO LETS MAILBOMB PARAMOUNT :)
